Abnormal Noise of Rotor During Idle Warm up of Diesel Generator Set

The pipes of Weichai diesel generator shall not be galvanized or copper pipes. The pipe joints will be sulfurized to produce diesel acid corrosion and polluting fuel galvanized and copper pipes. For indoor installation of oil pipeline for remote automatic starting or starting of Weichai diesel generator, it is recommended to install solenoid valve, and the solenoid valve control circuit field is connected with the starting circuit. It is strictly prohibited to spill all kinds of oil, water and other liquids into the diesel generator set after dripping, and metal parts (such as nails, screwdrivers, etc.) or metal debris shall not fall into the diesel generator set. If found, they must be taken out, otherwise the diesel generator set cannot be started.

When starting each shift, monitor the running sound of the generator rotor during the idle warm-up of the diesel generator set, and no abnormal noise is allowed; otherwise, stop the machine for inspection. Monitoring method: place one end of the screwdriver blade on the shell (or cover) near the bearing and other important moving parts of the diesel generator set, and attach the ear to the insulated handle of the screwdriver, judging by operating experience.

Under normal circumstances, the sound of the diesel generator set is balanced, even and slight wind sound. If there are knocking, rubbing and other sounds, it indicates that the diesel generator set has faults and should be carefully analyzed and inspected. When the diesel generator set is running at the rated speed, check the fastening of the anchor screws and whether there is vibration. If severe vibration is found, stop the machine for inspection.
