Assembly Quality of Fuel Injection Pump for Diesel Generator Set

The working efficiency of the Perkins diesel generator set is not high, and there may be a problem with the fuel injection pump. Therefore, in order to ensure the assembly quality of the fuel injection pump, in addition to paying more attention during assembly, people will also conduct further inspections. Generally, there are two methods: leaving the vehicle for inspection and on the vehicle for inspection. Below, Starlight will explain these two methods for checking the assembly quality of the fuel injection pump of the Perkins diesel generator set specifically.

1. To check when leaving the vehicle, first find a clean wooden board and wash your hands. The drive roller of the fuel injection pump is underneath (i.e. upright). Dip some clean diesel with your finger, fill the oil inlet screw hole of the oil pump, purposefully fix the shift pin (A-type pump) or lug (I-type pump) at the fuel stop position and the maximum fuel supply position, grasp the pump body with both hands, push down the force, rebound and then press down, and repeat this for several times, At the same time, pay attention to observing the oil discharge condition of the tight seat of the oil outlet valve: 1.1 At the oil stop position, push downward, and the tight seat of the oil outlet valve should not discharge oil. 1.2 At the maximum oil supply position, push downward and the tight seat of the oil outlet valve should inject the most oil. If the above requirements can be met, it indicates that the assembly is complete. Otherwise, it should be disassembled and reassembled until it meets the requirements.

2. In the on-vehicle inspection method, install the assembled fuel injection pump (together with an adjustment pad for adjusting the oil supply advance angle) on the side of the gear compartment cover (be sure to insert the shift pin or lug into the oil quantity dial), fix the connecting screw, connect the oil supply pipe and deflate, purposefully fix the throttle at different positions (i.e., stop oil level and maximum oil supply level), and open the pressure reducer, While rocking the vehicle, observe the oil delivery under any of the following three conditions: 2.1 Without connecting the high-pressure oil pipe, another person directly observes the oil delivery condition of the tight seat of the oil delivery valve. 2.2 Connect the high-pressure oil pipe without connecting the fuel injector, with the high-pressure oil pipe outlet facing upward, and observe the oil discharge from the oil outlet. 2.3 Connect the high-pressure oil pipe and the fuel injector, and directly observe the fuel injection condition of the fuel injector. As long as the throttle is in the fuel stop position, one of the three above will not produce fuel, while the throttle is in the maximum fuel supply position, with the maximum fuel output, indicating that the fuel injection pump is well assembled. Otherwise, it should be disassembled and reassembled until it meets the requirements.

After you have assembled the fuel injection pump of the Perkins diesel generating set and after the fuel injection pump has problems, you can use the above two methods to check the assembly quality of the fuel injection pump. If the assembly quality is unqualified, you should promptly disassemble and reassemble it until there is no error in the inspection before putting it into use.
