How to identify fake and shoddy domestic diesel engines?

A. First, check whether there is an ex-factory certificate and a product certificate. They are the "identity certificates" for the diesel engine to leave the factory and are essential.

B. Then check the three serial numbers on the certificate:

(1) Nameplate serial number;

(2) Engine body serial number (physically, it is generally on the machined plane at the flywheel end, and the font is embossed);

(3) Fuel pump nameplate serial number. Compare these three serial numbers with the actual serial numbers on the diesel engine to ensure they are accurate. If there are any doubts, these three serial numbers can be reported to the manufacturer for verification.

What are the relationships among the apparent power, active power, rated power, maximum power, and economic power of a diesel generator set?

(1) The unit of apparent power is KVA. In China, it is customary to use it to express the capacity of transformers and UPS.

(2) The active power is 0.8 times the apparent power, and the unit is KW. In China, it is customary to use it for power generation equipment and electrical equipment.

(3) The rated power of a diesel generator set refers to the power that can be continuously operated for 12 hours.

(4) The maximum power is 1.1 times the rated power, but it is only allowed to be used for 1 hour within 12 hours.

(5) The economic power is 0.75 times the rated power. It is the output power at which the diesel generator set can operate for a long time without time limit. When operating at this power, the fuel consumption is the lowest and the failure rate is the lowest.

Why is it not allowed for a diesel generator set to operate for a long time at less than 50% of the rated power?

The oil consumption increases, the diesel engine is prone to carbon deposition, the failure rate increases, and the overhaul cycle is shortened.

Should the actual output power of a generator during operation be based on the power meter or the ammeter?

It should be based on the ammeter, and the power meter is only for reference.
