2. External fuel tank with three-way valve

Another option is to directly supply power to the generator set from external storage and supply tanks. At this point, the user needs to install supply and return pipelines, and the generator set can be equipped with a dual three-way valve, allowing fuel to be supplied to the engine from an external fuel tank or the generator set's own internal fuel tank.

Installation suggestion:

There should be a gap between the fuel supply pipeline and the return pipeline in the fuel tank to prevent fuel from heating up and prevent any impurities from entering. The distance between the two lines should be as wide as possible, with a minimum of 50 centimeters. The distance between the fuel pipeline and the bottom of the fuel tank should be as short as possible, but not less than 5cm.

When refueling the fuel tank, Top Power recommends that users leave at least 5% of the total tank capacity and place the fuel storage tank as close as possible to the engine, keeping them on the same level and no more than 20 meters away from the engine.

3. Install an intermediate fuel tank between the generator set and the main fuel tank

If the gap is greater than the gap specified in the pump documentation, if the installation height of the fuel tank is different from that of the generator set, or if the regulations governing fuel tank installation require this, you may need to install an intermediate fuel tank between the generator set and the main fuel tank. The positions of the fuel transfer pump and the intermediate fuel supply tank must be suitable for the selected location of the fuel storage tank. The latter must comply with the specifications of the internal fuel pump of the generator set.

Installation suggestion:

The distance between the fuel pipeline and the bottom of the fuel tank should be as small as possible and not less than 5 centimeters.
