When a major disturbance occurs to the diesel generator, the active power balance between the diesel generator and the operator will be disrupted. This is because the diesel generator rotor has rotational inertia, and the power of the diesel generator needs to be changed. During this period, the power cannot be balanced, and the diesel generator cannot operate stably, leading to oscillation. When oscillation occurs, the following measures should be taken:

If the oscillation is caused by asynchronous parallel or loss of excitation of the diesel generator, it should be immediately disconnected.

If the oscillation is caused by an abnormality in the excitation regulator of the diesel generator, the faulty excitation regulator of the diesel generator should be immediately switched to the standby excitation regulator for operation.

When the diesel generator oscillates, the excitation current of the diesel generator should be immediately increased to increase reactive power output without waiting for scheduling instructions.

When the diesel generator experiences oscillation, if a decrease in frequency is found, it should not wait for dispatch instructions, and increase the active output of the unit to the maximum value until the oscillation is eliminated.

When the diesel generator oscillates, if it is found that the frequency increases, it should not wait for dispatch instructions. Reduce the active output of the unit to reduce the frequency, but the frequency should not be lower than 49.5Hz. At the same time, ensure the normal power supply of the auxiliary power.

Report to the dispatcher and listen to the waiting dispatcher's instructions.
