If there is a shortage, add it to the specified "static full" scale line, and carefully check the relevant components for any potential faults. If any faults are found, they should be promptly eliminated before starting the machine. Secondly, it is forbidden to start the diesel generator set with load. Before starting the diesel generator set, pay attention to that the output air switch of the generator must be closed. The ordinary diesel generator set will run at idle speed for 3-5 minutes after starting (about 700 rpm). In winter, the temperature is low, and the idle running time should be appropriately extended for several minutes.

After starting the diesel generator set, first observe whether the oil pressure is normal and whether there is any abnormal phenomenon such as oil leakage and water leakage. (Under normal circumstances, the oil pressure must be above 0.2MPa) If any abnormality is found, immediately shut down for maintenance. If there is no abnormal phenomenon, increase the speed of the diesel generator set to the rated speed of 1500 rpm. At this time, the diesel generator set displays the frequency of 50HZ and the voltage of 400V, then the output air switch can be closed and put into use. The diesel generator set is not allowed to operate without load for a long time. (Long time no-load operation will cause the diesel fuel injected from the diesel engine nozzle to fail to burn completely, leading to carbon deposition, resulting in air leakage of valves and piston rings.) If it is an automatic diesel generator set, it is not necessary to run at idle speed, because the automatic diesel generator set is generally equipped with a water heater, so that the cylinder body of the diesel generator set is always kept at about 45Co, and the diesel engine can be powered normally within 8-15 seconds after starting.

Then pay attention to the working state in operation. During the operation of the diesel generator set, there should be a special person on duty, who should always observe a series of possible faults, especially the changes of oil pressure, water temperature, oil temperature, voltage, frequency and other important factors. In addition, sufficient diesel oil shall be prepared. If fuel oil is interrupted during operation, it will objectively cause on load shutdown, which may cause damage to the excitation control system and related components of the diesel generator set. Finally, it is forbidden to shut down with load. Before each shutdown, the load must be cut off gradually, then the output air switch of the diesel generator set must be closed, and the diesel generator set can be slowed down to idle speed for about 3-5 minutes before shutdown.
