How to Repair The Stuck Fuel Pump of Diesel Generator Set?

The diesel generator set will first put the stuck fuel pump into the diesel oil or engine oil for heating, then take it out and wrap it with a cloth, then clamp the needle valve with pliers and slowly move it, take the needle valve out of the needle valve body, drop a small amount of clean engine oil into the needle valve body, so that the needle valve can be reactivated in the needle valve body, until the needle valve can move freely in the needle valve body. If the sealing surface of the needle valve has burn marks, it should be ground with grinding paste, When grinding, it is important to pay attention to the amount of grinding paste and grinding time. Install the cleaned bell valve coupling onto the fuel pump and adjust the injection pressure before reuse.


The main reasons for the fuel pump of diesel generator set being stuck:


1. The diesel is not clean, and there are impurities in the high-pressure fuel pipe, which can cause wear and tear on the needle valve components of the injector. This causes the needle valve components to not close tightly, causing high-pressure gas in the combustion chamber to reverse flow and burn out the needle valve components. In addition, dirt on parts such as the fuel pump pressure regulating spring and tappet has been moved to the fuel pump through the fuel injector tappet.


2. The machine temperature is too high, and the cooling of the nozzle is poor, resulting in the jamming of the valve coupling. Delayed fuel supply, excessive or clogged cooling water channels, worn end faces of water pump impellers, and long-term overload of the engine can cause the engine to overheat.


3. The wear of the extraction valve causes oil dripping when the fuel injector stops spraying, resulting in coking and carbon accumulation at the nozzle, leading to a malfunction of sticking.


4. The jet pressure is too low, causing high-pressure gas in the combustion chamber to reverse flow.


5. When installing the fuel injector of diesel generator set, the gasket was missing or damaged, resulting in air leakage, which caused the local temperature of the fuel injector to be too high and stuck.


6. Due to manufacturing reasons, such as tight fit between the fuel injector mounting hole on the cylinder head and the fuel injector, small gap between the needle valve body and the mounting hole on the cylinder head, and deep machining of the fuel injector mounting hole on the cylinder head.
