Maintenance of the Distribution Cabinet of Diesel Generator Set - Preparation Work

1. Notify the customer in advance of the start and end time of the power outage for the maintenance of the distribution cabinet.

2. Make all necessary preparations before the power outage, especially ensure that all the tools for the generator set are complete.

3. Be under the unified command of the engineering management supervisor. Strive for the personnel participating in the maintenance work to act in unison and have a reasonable division of labor and cooperation to complete the work efficiently.

Maintenance of the Distribution Cabinet of Diesel Generator Set - Power Outage

1. Disconnect the automatic air switch of the diesel generator. Place the generator selection switch in the "Stop" position. Disconnect the positive and negative wires of the battery and hang a warning sign to prevent the generator from sending electricity.

2. Disconnect the low-voltage side air switches step by step, and then disconnect the load switch on the high-voltage side of the transformer. After confirming the disconnection position, close the grounding switch, then lock the high-voltage cabinet with a lock and hang a sign reading "Under operation, no closing".

3. Open the distribution cabinet door. Use a test pen to check that the low-voltage busbars are in a power-off state. Check whether there is any deformation at the busbar joints, and whether there are traces of discharge and blackening. Tighten the connecting bolts. If the bolts are rusty, they should be replaced to ensure a tight connection at the joints. Check whether the insulators on the busbars are loose or damaged.

Use the handle to roll out the main air switch from the distribution cabinet. Check whether there are signs of melting on the main contacts, whether the arc extinguishers are blackened and damaged. Tighten all the wiring screws, clean the dust inside the cabinet, and test the closing and opening conditions of the mechanical parts.

Take out each sub-distribution switch cabinet from the drawer cabinet. Check and tighten the wiring terminals of current transformers, ammeters, and watt-hour meters. Check the flexibility and reliability of the handle operating mechanism. Tighten the incoming and outgoing wires of the air switch and clean the dust inside the switch cabinet and at the outgoing wire area behind the distribution cabinet.
