Methods to reduce cylinder wear:
From the above analysis, it can be seen that cylinder wear is objective and inevitable in the use of internal combustion engines, but in actual work, we should try to find ways to reduce its wear.
① Before starting the cold engine, shake the crankshaft manually to make the lubricating oil enter the surface of the lubricating parts. After starting, run at low speed first, and then add the load after the temperature rises. Keep the machine at normal temperature during operation.
② Clean the air filter in time and check the quantity and quality of the oil regularly.
③ To ensure repair quality and normal fit clearance, the following points shall be achieved during repair and assembly.
A. The cylinder centerline is perpendicular to the crankshaft centerline.
B. The crankshaft and connecting rod shall not be bent or twisted.
C. The piston pin, connecting rod barrel sleeve and connecting rod bush shall be installed correctly to ensure that the crankshaft centerline is perpendicular to the cylinder centerline.
D. The cylinder shall have certain accuracy and finish.
If the above points cannot be done during repair or assembly, the piston will form abnormal movement in the cylinder, which will accelerate the wear of the cylinder. Therefore, in the process of repair, we must carefully repair with the spirit of excellence and meticulousness to ensure the repair quality. Once the cylinder is seriously worn, it should be inspected and repaired to different degrees.
