Selection Standards for E-series Engine Oil and Coolant for Shangchai Generator

As is well known, in the actual application process of various equipment, the correct use of diesel engines can not only improve work efficiency, but also extend the service life of diesel engines and reduce equipment usage costs, creating more value for customers. As an engine covering all horsepower ranges from small to large, the engines of Shangchai Power are widely used in agriculture, construction machinery, trucks, power generation and other fields due to their advantages such as strong power, high performance and reliable quality.

In particular, the E - series products of Shangchai generators provided by Guangxi Dingbo Power can fully meet the diverse needs and customization of users and are suitable for various working conditions, thanks to their overhead camshaft (OHC System), strong power, easy maintenance, lightweight integrated (Lighting - Craft) design, reliability and diverse fuel options. However, in actual applications, we should not only make full use of the advantages of the generator, but also adopt the correct usage methods, so as to make our production faster and more secure. Today, we will first introduce the correct ways to use fuel, engine oil and coolant for the E - series products of Shangchai generators.

1. Fuel

The fuel specifications used in Shangchai E - series diesel engines should comply with the provisions of the GB19147 - 2009 standard. The diesel grade needs to be selected according to the ambient temperature. In a low - temperature environment, diesel with a low freezing point should be used, and vice versa in a high - temperature environment. The selection of diesel grades can follow the recommendations in the GB19147 - 2009 standard, and users can also refer to the following table. For example, when the ambient temperature is - 27°C, - 35# diesel should be selected.

Note: Diesel must be kept highly clean and not contaminated by dust, impurities or water.

2. Engine Oil

To ensure the normal operation and long service life of the diesel engine and improve its emissions, please use the special CF - 4 grade or higher - grade lubricating oil of Shangchai Company. If the special engine oil of Shangchai cannot be purchased, CF - 4 grade or higher - grade lubricating oil meeting the requirements of the American Petroleum Institute (API) can be used.

Note: Engine oil must be kept clean and not contaminated by dust, impurities or water. Different specifications of engine oil should not be mixed.

3. Coolant

To ensure the normal operation and service life of the diesel engine, please use the special organic (antifreeze) coolant under any climatic conditions. This coolant has the characteristics of anti - freezing, anti - corrosion, good thermal conductivity, good stability and environmental friendliness.

Warm reminder: Before starting the diesel engine, appropriate specifications of engine oil, fuel and coolant should be selected according to the specific usage environment and conditions. A visual inspection of the diesel engine and the starting system should be carried out before starting, such as:

Check whether the oil pressure gauge, coolant temperature gauge, warning lights and other instruments are in normal condition.

Check whether the levels of engine oil, coolant and electrolyte are within the specified range.

Check whether the electric starting circuit is in normal condition.

Check whether all safety protection devices are properly installed.

Note: It is not allowed to start the diesel engine without an air filter to prevent early wear of the diesel engine.
