Check that the belt is loose.
Pump belt (with tension wheel)
1. Loosen bolts and spring washers or locking nuts that fasten the tensioner to the bracket or pump.
2. Adjust the tension wheel with a pry rod or adjusting bolt until the tensometer indicates the appropriate belt tensioning.
3. Tighten the locking nut or bolt and the lock washer to 455ft-lb (61bm) of torque so that the tensioner or bracket is fastened.
1. Loosen the large locking nut on the fan hub or fasten the fan hub to the bolt on the mounting bracket. After this work is done, the fan hub will deviate.
2. Turn the adjusting bolt to increase the tension of the belt.
3. Tighten the nut or bolt until the hub is aligned. Fasten the nut to keep the fan hub and housing hub bracket properly aligned.
4. Belt tensioning is shown in the reading table 1 on the tensometer used.
5. Tighten the lock nut to 400, 450 feet-pound; then loosen back 1 / 2 laps.
6. Recheck belt tensioning.
7. Loosen adjustment bolt back to half ring to prevent damage.
If the belt is worn or damaged, it should be replaced as follows.
1. By shortening the center distance between pulleys in order to install the belt effortlessly. Never roll the belt over the pulley or pry it up with a screwdriver. Both methods can damage the belt and cause early damage.
2. The belt is usually replaced in groups. In the same group of belts, the depth difference should not be greater than 1.6 mm.
3. The mismatch of the pulley should not exceed 1.6 mm between the two belt centers.
4. The belt should not sink into the bottom of the pulley and should not be 2.4 mm above the edge of the pulley groove.
5. Do not let the belt rub any close parts.
6. Adjust the belt to the appropriate tension.
All new belts will become loose after running for an hour or an hour, so they must be readjusted to the requirement of "belt tensioning after operation"
Adjustment of Diesel fuel supply advance Angle for Diesel Generator set
In order to obtain good combustion, normal operation of diesel engine and the most economical fuel consumption, the fuel supply advance angle must be checked and adjusted after 500 hours of operation and after disassembly and assembly of the diesel engine.
When adjusting, the first cylinder high pressure tubing may be removed first, and the crankshaft shall be rotated so that the pointer on the flywheel shell inspection window is directed at the timing zero dial line on the flywheel, so that the first cylinder piston is at the upper starting point (if the shafts are rotated slightly at this point, The inlet and exhaust valves of the first cylinder should not work); then turn the crankshaft about 40 °backward, then slowly and uniformly rotate the crankshaft in the direction of the turning of the box-shaft, while paying close attention to the situation of the oil level in the tight seat of the oil delivery valve, when the oil surface has just been fluctuated, That means the first cylinder begins to supply oil.
The advance angle can be determined according to the scale of the flywheel indicated by the pointer on the flywheel shell inspection window. When adjusting, the two adjusting screws on the steel plate coupling of the oil pump can be loosened, and the crankshaft is rotated slowly, so that the steel plate coupling turns to a required angle, and then the two adjusting screws are fastened. Repeat the inspection according to the above method to complete the adjustment of the fuel supply advance angle of the diesel generator set.
The crankshaft can also be rotated so that the first cylinder piston is located at the upper check point, and the reverse rotation of the crankshaft causes the flywheel shell inspection window pointer to be adjusted to the corresponding scale before the flywheel housing, and to loosen the two regulating screws on the steel plate coupling connected with the bow drive shaft of the high pressure oil pump. The oil pump cam is turned according to the working direction of the camshaft of the oil pump to the instant when the oil surface in the tight seat of the first cylinder oil delivery valve has just fluctuated, and then the coupling two screw ruthenium are fastened, and the oil supply advance angle is checked again whether or not the oil supply advance angle is in the range of the advance angle.
How to check the clearance Adjustment and Air Distribution of Diesel engine Valve
Before adjusting the valve clearance of diesel generator set, the valve bridge is used to control two valves with one rocker arm. The purpose of adjusting the valve bridge is to make the two valves work in a consistent manner and to avoid the stress caused by the valve opening at the same time. The specific steps are as follows:
1. Loosen the adjustment nut of the valve bridge and loosen the adjusting screw;
2. After putting the valve bridge into the guide rod of the valve bridge, gently press the contact surface of the rocker arm with the finger, so that the valve bridge and the valve rod are in contact.
3. Lightly tighten the valve bridge adjustment screw until it reaches the top of the valve rod;
4. Tighten the nuts on the adjustment screw; adjust all valve bridge adjustment screws according to this requirement, and then adjust the air valve clearance.
Before adjusting the valve timing, a dial with 3600 degrees is installed at the front of the crankshaft, and an adjustable pointer is installed on the gear chamber.
Remove the valve chamber cover, rotate the crankshaft so that the pointer on the flywheel shell inspection window is aligned with the timing zero mark on the flywheel (note the position of the pointer installation, the two sides of the pointer should be between the two limit marks on the flywheel shell, Operation should be careful not to deform the pointer), and then the needle placed on the gear room on the zero line on the dial, and fixed.
The first cylinder and the sixth cylinder piston are at the top-to-check point at the same time. To determine whether the first cylinder is at the beginning of the expansion stroke, unload the side cover of the fuel injection pump, observe whether the plunger spring of the first cylinder injection pump is in a compression state to determine, or rotate the crankshaft slightly, Observe whether the inlet and exhaust valves of the first cylinder are stationary to determine. The air valve clearance can then be adjusted. Crankshaft in this position, can be pressed to adjust the column of the intake and exhaust valve clearance.
Adjustment of Valve clearance of 6-Cylinder Diesel engine
When the first cylinder piston adjusts the cylinder number of the valve at the beginning of the expansion stroke, the intake valve is 1-2-4 and the exhaust valve is 1-3-5
When the 6th cylinder piston adjusts the cylinder number of the valve at the beginning of the expansion stroke, the intake valve is 3-5-6 and the exhaust valve is 2-4-6
When adjusting the air valve clearance, you can first use wrenches and screwdrivers to loosen the nuts and adjusting screws on the rocker arm, insert the corresponding thin plug gauges between the rocker arm and the valve bridge, and screw the adjustment screw until the rocker arm and the valve bridge are in contact with the thin plug gauge. But it can still move. The nut is then locked and the thin plug gauge is moved over and over again for inspection. After the air valve clearance is adjusted, it can check the timing of air distribution, and keep the normal condition. The timing of air distribution can be kept within the tolerance range, and no adjustment is necessary.
When adjusting, starting with the first cylinder, turning the crankshaft keeps the valve bridge between the valve bridge and the rocker arm, which is used to hold the joint on the push rod and rotate gently, while slowly rotating the crankshaft in the direction of crankshaft rotation. The opening angle of the valve can be determined according to the needle and dial installed at the front of the crankshaft when the joint on the push rod is just turning by hand, which means that the valve begins to open. Continue to rotate the crankshaft, when the push rod joint can be turned by hand to the moment of hand rotation, that is to say, the valve is closed, and the timing of each cylinder is checked according to the firing order.
The timing of valve distribution must be in accordance with the technical parameters of the previous diesel engine of genset. If the valve clearance is adjusted to make little compensation if there is too long service and wear is too large to meet the requirements. Reducing the gap between the valves can lead to early opening and late closing of the valve; increasing the gap of the valve is the opposite. However, after compensation adjustment, the valve clearance should still be within the prescribed range.
Intake valve: valve and rocker arm cold car clearance mm 0.4g 0.45 mm exhaust valve: valve and rocker arm cold car clearance mm 0.5g 0.55 mm.
