The diesel generator set experiences minor malfunctions (such as high cooling water temperature, high oil temperature, low oil pressure, overload, three failed starts, low starting battery capacity, etc.), emits audible and visual alarms, and allows manual parking.

When a serious malfunction occurs in a diesel generator set (such as high cooling water temperature, high oil temperature, low oil pressure, overspeed, low voltage or too high), which puts the engine in a predetermined danger stage, it should be immediately stopped and an audible and visual alarm signal should be issued.

The low oil level switch in the daily fuel tank emits an alarm signal when the tank capacity drops to 20% or 50%; If conditions permit, automatic oiling can be achieved.

The generator will automatically trip immediately and emit an audible and visual alarm in case of overcurrent, short circuit, phase failure, high voltage, and loss of voltage in the power supply bus. Install electronic speed control devices and overspeed trip structures to cut off fuel when the overspeed exceeds 15%.

Diesel generator sets should have fault self diagnosis function.

Speed regulation: Under various load conditions, there should be a device for manually adjusting the speed, with a range of ± 5%.

All sound and light alarm signals and release switches should be connected to the control screen, displaying signals including: unit speed, oil pressure, water temperature, DC voltage, working hours, generator line voltage, phase voltage, phase current, phase, frequency, power factor, active power, reactive power rate, apparent power, electrical degree, and load rate.

Remote control: emergency stop, remote start/stop group.

Remote signaling: working mode (automatic/manual), emergency stop, overvoltage, undervoltage, single-phase and three-phase overcurrent, low oil pressure, high water temperature, high/low frequency (speed), start failure, low battery voltage, low oil level alarm, mains power interruption, unit operation, unit failure, charging rectifier failure, etc.

Telemetry: three-phase voltage, three-phase current, output power, output frequency (speed), water temperature, oil pressure, and starting battery voltage.

Short circuit withstand capacity: The diesel generator set should be able to withstand a short circuit current of 3 seconds at the output end without damage.
