The maintenance and overhaul precautions for marathon generators are as follows:

Maintain

1. Daily maintenance should be carried out frequently, and the general maintenance cycle depends on the operating environmental conditions.

2. The generator should be installed in a place with clean, dry, and well ventilated air, avoiding direct sunlight and rain.

3. Always pay attention to the ventilation and heating conditions of the generator, and ensure that the current and voltage are not overloaded or overpressure.

4. Check the live parts, whether the contact surface is tight, whether the screws and nuts are loose, and ensure good conductivity and grounding.

5. Pay attention to vibration and noise during operation, and promptly address any abnormal situations.

6. If necessary, use a 5O0V megohmmeter to measure the insulation resistance of the winding.

7. Do not place the generator in areas with high levels of water vapor, dust, or flammable gases.

8. The bearings in the bearing chamber should be operated for 3000-5000 hours or lubricated once a year. If the environmental conditions are harsh, the oiling frequency needs to be increased. The oiled grease should be compatible with SRI-2, otherwise it will cause the grease to deteriorate. Easy to damage the bearings.

Generator maintenance

Overhaul one can usually be carried out together with diesel engine overhaul

l. Measure the insulation resistance with a 500 megohmmeter. If the ground resistance is less than 2 megohms, measures should be taken for baking and drying (using space heaters, drying rooms, hot air fans, and short-circuit methods). Remove the voltage regulator and short-circuit electronic components during measurement to avoid damage.

2. Clean and sanitize the interior of the generator; Blow off the dust, and each joint must be thoroughly blown. If the internal pollution is severe, it must be cleaned (with cleaning agents or solvents) and then rinsed with clean water before being immersed in paint.

3. Check whether the live parts are in good contact; Tighten the nut at the connection point to ensure good conductivity at the contact area.

4. Check all insulation and coils for damage, scattering, and corrosion. If necessary, re wrap and soak the paint for baking.

5. Replace the lubricating grease or bearings in the bearing chamber.

Precautions during generator maintenance

When disassembling and assembling the generator, the disassembled parts must be properly stored, and should not be left unattended or placed arbitrarily to avoid collision and damage.

2. The main components such as rotor, end cover, stator, and exciter must be handled with care to avoid damage.

When disassembling the wire head, the bearing and bearing cover must be covered with clean paper to prevent dust from flying in. If there is dust or contamination, all lubricating grease must be replaced.

After installing the double bearing motor, gently rotate the rotor by hand to check for any abnormal noise or lack of flexibility in rotation.

5. The end cap bolts must be tightened at the same time by crossing them diagonally, and cannot be tightened first before tightening the other bolts in sequence.

6. Please use Chevron SRL or equivalent wear-resistant, high-quality lubricating grease, with an operating lubrication temperature range of (-30 ℃~175 ℃). Adding grease should be 1/3-2/3 of the volume, and it is important not to exceed it.
