1. How to use the generator set cylinder meter and matters needing attention
(1) Before measuring, carefully clean the cylinder and generator set gauge.
(2) Install the dial indicator head, and be sure to fix it.
(3) Select a suitable fixed moment rod according to the size of the cylinder, fix it tightly, and put it into the cylinder to test to see if the measuring rod is suitable. The standard is: put the measuring cylinder table in the cylinder, and the large pointer of the measuring cylinder table rotates one circle (the small pointer rotates one grid) or so is appropriate. If it cannot be put into the cylinder, it means that the measuring rod is too long; if the pointer does not rotate, it means that the fixed torque rod is too short or the dial indicator head is not good, and it should be readjusted.
(4) Hold the upper part of the watch stem with the left hand and the lower part of the watch stem with the right hand, and then tilt the watch slightly, first place the movable moment rod in the cylinder, and then put the fixed moment rod in the cylinder while restoring the watch rod to the straightness. .
(5) When measuring, the watch rod should be slightly swung back and forth (at this time, either end of the two ends of the measuring rod should be fixed at a certain position), when the pointer points to a certain point and turns in the opposite direction, this is the case. The size measured at the time is the correct diameter at that location, otherwise it will not be correct.
(6) During the measurement, special attention should be paid to keeping the measuring tool clean and the measuring rod vertical. When the measuring tool is used up, the fixed moment rod and the head of the dial indicator should be wiped clean as required and placed properly. The metal surfaces should be coated with grease to prevent rusting.
2. Measurement of cylinder roundness error and cylinder error
(1) Measurement of cylinder roundness error. The roundness error of the cylinder is also called out of roundness. Place the measuring rod at the point where the cylinder of the generator set is most worn (that is, the piston reaches the top dead center, and the first piston ring is opposite to the cylinder wall slightly lower, usually the cylinder roundness error is the largest here), and then at the same cross section. The front and rear (coinciding with the crankshaft axis) and the left and right (perpendicular to the crankshaft axis) are measured separately, and the difference between the diameters of the cross section can be seen from the dial indicator (that is, the difference between the actual diameters in each direction at the place is measured) , the difference is the roundness error of the cylinder.
(2) Measurement of cylinder cylindricity error. The cylindricity error of the cylinder is also called taper. Place the measuring cylinder gauge at the place where the maximum wear of the measuring cylinder of the generator set is greatest, and then measure the maximum wear and minimum wear values along the same longitudinal section of the cylinder (referring to within the piston stroke), and the difference between the two values is the cylindricity error of the cylinder.
