The main damage to the Volvo generator radiator is water leakage. The main reason is that during work, the fan blades are broken or tilted, the radiator water pipe is damaged, the radiator is not fixed firmly on the bracket, and the radiator is damaged by large vibration during work. In winter, the radiator water pipe freezes and cracks due to the presence of water, and the impurities in the cooling water form scale in the radiator water pipe, causing the pipe wall to be corroded and ruptured. Generally speaking, the water leakage inspection is performed after the radiator has been cleaned, and then the water leakage inspection is carried out. When checking, the following methods can be used:
Block the inlet and outlet of the radiator, install a joint from the overflow pipe or drain plug, and inject 0.15-0.3kgf/square centimeter of compressed air. Put the radiator in the sink. If there are bubbles, it is a leak.
Check with water. When checking, block the inlet and outlet of the radiator, and check whether there is water leakage after filling the water inlet with water. In order to find small cracks, you can apply a certain amount of pressure to the heat sink or make the heat sink slightly vibrate. Then carefully observe, there is water seeping out of the leak. Soldering and repairing of radiators the soldering method of radiator is usually used for soldering. Before welding, wipe off the oil on the weld, then use a scraper to scrape out a new metal layer, and then heat it properly. After the soldering iron is heated, dip it in the zinc oxide solution, and then stick it with solder. After sticking, smooth the weld and wash the zinc oxide around the weld with hot water to prevent corrosion.
Welding repair of the upper and lower water chambers when the leakage of the upper and lower water chambers is not large, it can be repaired with solder directly. When repairing, apply a layer of solder on one side of the steel skin and the leaking place, place the steel skin on the leaking place, and then heat it externally with a soldering iron to melt the solder and weld the surrounding area firmly.
For the welding and repair of the radiator water pipe, if the outer water pipe of the radiator is broken and the break is not large, the heat sink near the water pipe can be removed with needle-nose pliers and repaired with solder directly. If the crack is large or the middle water pipe leaks, the methods of stuck pipe, blocked pipe, takeover and pipe replacement should be flexibly handled according to the specific situation. However, the number of stuck pipes and blocked pipes should not exceed 10% of the total number of pipes, so as not to affect the heat dissipation effect of the radiator.
