1. When the valve spring key is fastened to the valve stem, its outer circular conical surface should be in close contact with the conical hole of the seat;

2. The end faces of the two locking tabs should be 2.5mm lower than the seat ring;

3. The valve spring key is fastened to the valve stem, and there should be a gap of more than 0.5mm on each side of the parting surface;

4. The height difference between the two locking tabs is within 0.3 mm.

Inspection of valve spring locks and spring seats for diesel generators (technical qualification)

1. Check the inner and outer surfaces of the two locking tabs and the seat taper holes for obvious wear marks and damage, and replace them if any.

2. If the height difference between the two locking tabs exceeds 0.3mm through measurement or comparison, replace them with the same one.

3. If the gap between the two locking tabs has disappeared, it should be replaced.

4. If only one end of the lock comes into contact with the seat, when the machine is working, the single end of the lock opens, causing it and the valve stem to wear out, or even causing the lock to jump out. Therefore, it should be replaced.

5. If the convex ribs on the lock plate surface are worn, they should be replaced.

Repair of Valve Spring Lock and Spring Seat for Diesel Generators

1. If the gap between the separated surfaces of the two locking tabs is too small or disappears, and the height of the two locking tabs is inconsistent, a knife file can be used, but the inner and outer surfaces should be intact, and the outer cone surface and the seat should match well.

2. If the contact surface is not tight or has burrs, it should be removed and polished.

3. In other cases, it is generally necessary to replace the parts with new ones.
