Operation of 200kw Yuchai Generator Set with Cylinder Interruption Method

The 200 kW Yuchai generator set can display parameters such as diesel engine oil temperature, water temperature, oil pressure, speed, and output voltage through a microcomputer intelligent control system, LCD display, and Chinese interface. So how does it actually perform the "cylinder cut-off" operation on the machine?

Under certain specific conditions, in order to determine the possible fuel system or mechanical system failure of a cylinder in a 200 kW Yuchai generator set, the (single cylinder fire extinguishing method) cylinder interruption method can be used. The specific approach is:

1. Remove the cover plate on the upper part of the fuel injector or other components that affect the disassembly of the high-pressure fuel pipe.

2. Start the Yuchai generator to operate at low speed (n ≤ lOOOr/min).

3. Use a suitable size ring wrench to loosen the high-pressure oil pipe on the fuel injection pump, in the following order: starting from the first cylinder, gradually loosen all cylinders.

4. After releasing a certain cylinder, carefully observe whether there is any change in the working status of the diesel generator after the fuel cut-off of that cylinder. Then tighten the oil pipe of that cylinder and release the other cylinder until the position of the faulty cylinder is found.

Precautions for operating the 200 kW Yuchai generator set with cylinder interruption method:

1. After cutting off oil for a single cylinder on the same machine, it is not advisable to work for too long (generally around 3 minutes is recommended); Prevent excessive diesel leakage from causing other problems.

2. If the diesel generator needs to be disconnected and loaded, the high-pressure oil pipe of the cylinder must be connected to the fuel tank or other container with a hose to avoid direct diesel discharge as much as possible. Never use the method of blocking the outlet valve of the fuel injection pump and the pressure relief oil pipe to handle it.

3. It is best not to work under heavy loads until the faulty cylinder is identified or the cause of the malfunction is accurately determined.
