Performance Indicators of Diesel Generators Part 1

(1) Appearance requirements

1. The boundary dimensions, installation dimensions, and connection dimensions of the unit shall comply with the approved product drawings according to the prescribed procedures.

2. The welding of the unit should be firm and the weld seam should be uniform, without defects such as welding penetration, undercutting, slag inclusion, and porosity. The welding slag and flux should be removed completely; The paint film should be uniform, without obvious cracks or peeling. The coating should be smooth, without missing spots, rust, or other phenomena. The tight components of the unit should not be loose.

3. The electrical installation of the unit should comply with the circuit diagram. There should be clear signs at the connection points of each wire of the unit that are not easily detached.

4. The unit should have good grounding terminals.

5. The content of the unit label is complete.

(2) Insulation resistance and insulation strength

Insulation resistance: The insulation resistance of each independent electrical circuit to ground and between circuits should be greater than 2M Ω.

Insulation strength: Each independent electrical circuit of the diesel generator set should be able to withstand AC test voltage for 1 minute to ground and between circuits, with no breakdown or flashover phenomenon required. If the circuit voltage is less than 100V, the test voltage is 750V; If the circuit voltage is ≥ 100V, the test voltage is 1440V.

(3) The phase sequence requirement is that the wiring terminals of the unit control screen should be arranged from left to right or from top to bottom when viewed from the front of the screen.

(4) The requirement for automatic maintenance and preparation for operation is that the unit should have a heating device to ensure its emergency start-up and rapid loading

(5) Reliability check of automatic start power supply and automatic stop

After receiving the start command from the self-control or remote control, the unit should be able to start automatically.

After the third failure of automatic start-up of the unit, a start-up failure signal should be issued. When a backup unit is set up, the program start-up system should be able to automatically transmit the start-up instruction to another backup unit.

The time from the automatic start command to supplying power to the load should not exceed 3 minutes.

After the automatic start-up of the unit is successful, the initial loading amount should not be less than 50% of the calibrated load.

After receiving a shutdown command from the self-control or remote control, the unit should be able to automatically shut down. For backup units that are used in conjunction with the mains power grid, when the power grid returns to normal, the unit should be able to automatically switch and shut down, and the shutdown method and delay time should comply with the technical specifications of the product.
