Fan choice.

(1) Suction and exhaust fans: For equipment with high running speed, when the engine is installed at the front of the equipment, selecting a suction fan can make good use of the oncoming wind to enhance the cooling effect, when the engine is installed at the rear, generally select an exhaust fan.

For equipment with low walking speed, you can choose a suction fan or an exhaust fan. Generally speaking, since the suction fan uses the cooler air to cool the water tank, the efficiency is significantly higher than that of the exhaust fan.

(2) Fan speed and diameter: Under the same power consumption, the cooling effect and noise of low-speed and large fans are significantly better than those of high-speed and small fans. In addition, when selecting a fan, pay attention to the linear speed of the blade tip of the fan not exceeding 4200~5000m/min.

(3) The distance from the fan to the radiator core: the suction air is greater than 2 inches, and the exhaust air is greater than 4 inches.

(4) The distance from the fan to the engine: if the fan support bending moment (7NM) permits, it should be as far as possible, but the thickness of the fan pad is generally not allowed to exceed 3 inches.

(5) It is forbidden to use elastic relaxation washers when installing the fan to prevent the fan flange from being damaged due to concentrated stress.

Choice of air hood.

(1) There are three types of commonly used air guides: box type, ring type and throat type.

(2) The air guide cover and the radiator must be sealed.

(3) The gap between the fan blade tip and the air hood is generally 1.5~2.5% of the fan diameter.

(4) The position of the fan in the air hood: suction, 2/3 is inside, exhaust, 1/3 is inside.
