Solution To Oil Leakage Of Different Parts Of Volvo Diesel Generator Set

Oil leakage of Volvo diesel generator unit may be caused by oil leakage of oil pan gasket. Diesel oil leakage may be caused by the leakage of diesel oil at each interface of the fuel transfer pump and diesel filter. The solution to the oil pan gasket leakage of the diesel generator set is to replace the gasket. The method to replace the oil pan gasket is as follows:

(1) Use a socket wrench or box wrench to remove all the oil pan fixing screws diagonally.

(2) After removal, wipe the oil pan and the part of crankcase that contacts the gasket, apply sealant, and assemble the gasket after it is installed in order.

(3) During assembly, screw in the screws diagonally. Do not tighten one screw horizontally before tightening the second one. After all the screws are screwed on, gradually tighten all the screws according to the technical requirements.

The leakage of diesel oil at the interfaces of the fuel delivery pump and diesel filter of the diesel generator set is generally caused by damaged gaskets or loose oil return screws. The solutions are as follows:

(1) If the oil return screw is loose, the maintenance personnel should use a box wrench to tighten it to the specified torque.

(2) In case of oil leakage due to gasket damage, replace it with a new gasket.
