The dual power automatic transfer switch device is a power automatic switching device controlled by a microprocessor, which can automatically detect and switch to the backup power supply when a fault occurs on the common power supply side. With the maturity of technology, dual power automatic transfer switches are becoming increasingly common for switching between diesel generator sets and mains power. Dingbo Electric will share some common faults of dual power automatic transfer switches and how to solve them.
When encountering a situation where the switch cannot work properly, please first press the reset button to see if the fault can be eliminated, and then check whether the incoming and secondary sampling lines of the main and backup switches are normal, and whether the connectors are loose or virtual. Below is a reference for common troubleshooting.
Power on, automatic transfer switch does not operate, controller light does not light up
1. Whether the installation wiring is connected correctly and firmly.
2. Is the fuse core blown
resolvent:
(1) Check if the incoming terminal of the circuit breaker is loose or disconnected, and if it is loose, reconnect it.
(2) For a 3-pole ATS neutral wire, it should be connected to the neutral terminal.
(3) Replace the fuse.
The automatic transfer switch does not work when connected to the power supply, and the controller light is on
1. The automatic transfer switch is not set to the automatic position.
2. The delay adjustment of the automatic transfer switch is too long.
resolvent:
(1) The automatic/manual switch is in the manual position, while the B-type controller's automatic switch light is not in the automatic position
(2) The automatic transfer switch is set in a self switching, non self resetting, or mutually standby state. The backup circuit cannot be converted to the main circuit. If it needs to be changed to a self switching and self resetting state, adjust the dip switch and controller settings again.
(3) The automatic conversion electrical switch delay has been adjusted, and the settings of the delay dip switch and controller have been readjusted.
Controller power light flashing
1. Incoming power supply failure
a. Power supply overvoltage.
b. Poor contact of power supply circuit.
c. Controller malfunction.
2. The power light flashes and the buzzer sounds an alarm
resolvent:
(1) Adjust the voltage of the incoming power supply again.
(2) Check if there is any phase failure or virtual connection in the incoming power supply, including the sampling line of the automatic conversion device if there is a solid connection.
(3) Reconnect or replace the controller plugin.
(4) Connect the neutral wire and phase wire of the incoming power supply terminal in reverse, and correct and reconnect them.
