In order to ensure that the cylinder of the generator set does not exhibit wear and other phenomena, in addition to regular inspection and measurement, it is also necessary to have certain technical requirements for the cylinder sleeve of the generator set. Technical requirements for general repairs

The generator set cylinder must be repaired or replaced if it is worn to one of the following conditions:

1. Cracks on the cylinder wall of the generator set.

2. The scratch depth on the cylinder wall of the generator set is greater than 0.25mm.

3. The wear amount of the generator set cylinder is greater than 0.35 mm or the clearance between the piston skirt and the cylinder wall is greater than 0.50 mm.

4. The out-of-roundness and conicity of the cylinder are greater than 0.15 mm.

Technical requirements of the manufacturer or overhaul plant

1. The size of the generator set cylinder meets the requirements in the manual.

2. The out-of-roundness and conicity of the generator set cylinder are within 0.03 mm.

3. The roughness of the inner surface of the generator set cylinder shall not be higher than 0.63m.

4. The depth of local traces shall not be greater than 0.03 mm.

According to the measurement results, when the wear, out-of-roundness, and taper of the generator set cylinder exceed the specified values for various machines, the generator set cylinder should be repaired to restore the normal technical requirements of the generator set cylinder.
