When solar panels receive light, they emit electrical energy called photovoltaic or PV, which can be connected in series as described above to generate higher voltages. I know this may sound a bit simple, but you can only charge your 48 volt battery if you input more than 48 volts. Please remember that during the "absorption" phase, your battery may reach 60 volts before stabilizing and then "float" around 54 volts (this varies depending on temperature and battery type). Therefore, you cannot charge a 48 volt battery with a 24 volt solar panel, you need at least two connected together. What confuses you even more is that a 24V solar panel can generate a voltage of up to 40V or higher, depending on temperature and sunlight! When we consider wind turbines, this concept is crucial.

You can buy everything for around 8000 yuan, including windmills, charging controllers, stop switches, and things with a rated output power of 1kw (our solar panels have a rated power of 2kw, but rarely generate more than 1750w of power because they generate less power when heated). The nominal output of future energy windmills is 48V, which is another advantage of choosing a 48V system.

So when there is strong wind and usually no sunlight, we don't need to use a generator to charge the battery. However, most of the time, a windmill is useless because the voltage it generates depends on its rotational speed (I only discovered this by disconnecting it from the battery, and you don't intend to do so). If the batteries are typically around 49 to 50 volts at night or in the absence of sunlight, which is a "comfortable" level, then the windmill cannot charge them unless it generates a voltage exceeding 49 volts. I didn't measure the wind speed at which this happened, but it's only when the wind is too strong that you feel uncomfortable outdoors - I know this is subjective, but what's important is that unless you live in a windy area, you won't think you'll have a stable source of electricity. Comparing the input of the windmill with the experience of others, I would say it is very useful, but you will never float the battery from it, even if you have a constant wind of 25 miles per hour for 48 hours, and a few sunny days can easily make the battery float. A better way is to rely on a windmill, as it can prevent you from using a generator on sunny days.
