The Volvo generator set turns on the power switch of the control box. When there are two quick, crisp and small sounds, the speed control system is basically normal. if there is no sound, it may be that the speed control board has no output or the actuator is corroded and issued.

(1) Fault detection of the control board When the power switch is turned on, measure the DC voltage of A23-A22 of the large base plate. If the voltage is higher than 12V, it indicates that the output of the control board is normal. If U=0, measure the voltage at points B and C of the speed control board socket. If U>12V, the control board is normal, and the printed circuit of the large base plate should be checked for open circuit; otherwise, the speed control board is faulty, and the control board should be replaced.

(2) Actuator fault detection The coil resistance of the actuator is 7-10Ω, the inductance is 120mH, and it is insulated from the ground. The electrical status can be judged by statically measuring various parameters; when the mechanical condition of the operating unit is difficult to judge, an external 12V direct power supply can be connected. , judged by the sound status when it is on and off. When the hairpin is blocked and corroded, the actuator can be removed with special tools for cleaning and grinding (metal abrasives are not allowed) for repair. When it cannot be repaired, it should be replaced.

(3) Detection of the speed sensor of the Volvo generator set When the signal of the speed sensor is too strong, the speed of the speed control system is unstable. When the signal is too weak and there is no signal, it is easy to control failure and cause overspeed.

The coil resistance of the speed sensor of the Volvo generator set is about 300Ω, and the output voltage is 1.5-20VAC during operation, otherwise the sensor should be replaced if it fails.

Adjustment of the speed signal strength of the speed sensor: screw the sensor in, tighten the tooth end of the flywheel, and then withdraw 1/2-3/4 turns and then lock it. At this time, the gap between the top of the sensor and the tooth tip of the flywheel is about 0.7mm to 1.1mm. The output voltage rises when screwed in, and the output voltage drops when screwed out.
