Have you ever heard about SDEC engine before? SDEC is a famous brand of engine in China. It is divided into several series diesel engines. In previous articles, we talk about Shangchai H, D, and E series engines. In this post, you will learn W series engine as well as its related models.
The W series engine is newly designed and carefully made by the SDEC for the demand of the generator sets market for high power with various technical criteria up to international advanced level.
The W series engine is characterized by compact structure, high reliability, good economy, low noise and attractive appearance. Made in accordance with the SAIC MOTOR manufacturing standard, the engine is a preferred power for generator sets.
Product Features
1. Four valves per cylinder, electronic governor and P11 high pressure fuel injection pump improve combustion and emissions effectively, providing smooth operation and good economy.
2. Gantry-type cylinder block, rear gear train and rationally-arranged reinforcing ribs provide good rigidity, compact structure, small vibration and low noise.
3. Precise timing control of valves and fuel injection due to split-type camshaft design and reduction in impact force due to optimized cam profiles improve reliability and durability.
4. Electric pre-oil-supply pump provides automatic oil supply before engine starting.

Installation of Diesel Engine
Installation instructions
1). The installers must read carefully all the accompanying documents and information and become familiar with the engine structure and the installation requirements before installing the engine.
2). The installers must be qualified mechanic and electrical technicians with rich installation experience.
3). If the engine to be installed differs greatly from that described in the manufacturer’s instructions, it must be installed under the guidance of the relevant professionals.
Unpacking and Lifting of Diesel Engine
Be sure to avoid damage to any engine part when unpacking. If unpacking finishes, check whether the seal of each exposed oil, water or gas pipe orifice is in good condition. No foreign object in each pipe is permitted. Check whether the documents and spare parts accompanying the engine are full and complete in accordance with the packing list. When lifting the engine, be sure to use the eye screws for the engine. When lifting, be sure to maintain the engine crankshaft horizontal.
If the steel wire ropes are used for lifting, make sure the included angle of the two ropes to the direction of the engine is less than 20 degree.
