Compressed Air Adjustment Method for Generator Fuel Injection Timing

When conditions permit, a 30kw Yuchai generator can also use compressed air to check and adjust the fuel injection advance angle. The specific adjustment method is as follows:


1. Remove the clamping sleeve of the first cylinder oil outlet valve of the fuel injection pump, and take out the oil outlet valve and spring.


2. Connect the air intake pipe to the fuel injection pump inlet.


3. Place the throttle lever in the running position.


4. Turn on the air source and adjust the air pressure until even and stable small bubbles can be seen in the glass container.


5. Rotate the diesel engine crankshaft in the direction of rotation of the diesel generator and observe the changes in the bubbles in the bottle. When the bubbles stop generating, stop rotating immediately. At this time, check whether the position of the indicator mark on the crankshaft flywheel or drive belt pulley is within the specified range. If the fuel injection timing is correct, the distance (or angle) between the marked position and the top dead center should be the standard degree of the fuel injection advance angle.


6. If the result is correct, repeat the check and the result is still correct, it indicates that there is no problem with the fuel injection advance angle of the machine.


7. If the test results do not meet the requirements, corresponding adjustments need to be made:


Rotate the diesel engine crankshaft in the direction of rotation of the diesel generator to a certain angle before the top dead center of the first cylinder compression stroke The standard fuel injection advance angle of the diesel engine is marked in advance. Loosen the fastening bolts of the fuel injection pump or gear, and rotate the fuel injection pump body clockwise or counterclockwise by hand until the fuel flowing out from the overflow pipe of the standard test injector changes from a stable flow beam to one or two drops per minute. Then tighten the relevant nuts or bolts.


8. Repeat the above steps more than twice to ensure that the fuel injection advance angle is completely correct.


9. Remove the relevant testing device from the fuel injection pump, reinstall the oil outlet valve and other components, and tighten the pressure seat and related nuts of the oil outlet valve according to the required torque.
