Correction Method the Center Line of DEUTZ Diesel Generator Set 1

When installing the DEUTZ diesel generator set, the connection between the DEUTZ diesel generator set generator and the internal combustion engine is not a simple connection, but has strict technical requirements. The most prominent performance is the alignment of the centerline. In other words, the crankshaft of internal combustion engine and the generator shaft of DEUTZ diesel generator set must be kept on the same centerline.

If the center lines of the two shafts are not aligned, it will cause severe vibration of the machine body during operation, and the instruments, oil pipes, and water tanks are prone to vibration damage; Rubber hinges rapidly wear out; At the same time, the wear of crankshaft bearings and generator bearings intensifies, and even fracture accidents may occur. Therefore, after the assembly of DEUTZ diesel generator, the centerline must be checked and corrected.


1. The Manifestation and Causes of Irregular Centerline


(1) The manifestation of centerline misalignment is mainly manifested in two aspects: deviation and interlacing. The so-called offset refers to the fact that the centerlines of two axes are parallel to each other, but have a certain distance in the up and down or left and right directions. The so-called interlocking refers to the fact that the centerlines of two axes are not parallel to each other, forming a certain angle.


The main reasons for the misalignment of the center line are as follows: the base nut of the DEUTZ diesel generator set generator is not tightened, and the deviation occurs during operation; The generator of DEUTZ diesel generator set was not installed correctly when it was disassembled and repaired, or the centerline was not carefully corrected after the rubber hinge was replaced.


2. Inspection and correction of centerline


(1) Install the special tools.


Fix the special tools (including support arms, round iron, and adjustment screws) on the vertical surface of the hinge plate and flywheel, and rotate them to a vertical upward position.


(2) Adjusting parallel and vertical screws


Maintain a reference gap of 0.50mm between them and the round iron, and then tighten the screws. Rotate the flywheel 180 ° again, measure the gaps between parallel and vertical screws and the circular iron, and record them. This will calculate the amount of overlap between the two axes per meter of length in the up and down directions, as well as the offset between the two axes in the up and down directions.
