Everything seems normal, for example, the generator didn't start. To avoid wasting time identifying the cause of a malfunction, it is best to have prior knowledge of certain symptoms that are related to it.

Generator timed shutdown: This is a blockage in the air filter (caused by dust, snow, and other pollutants). It must be clean and dry.

After the generator starts, it will immediately "whimper": low-level oil level. To avoid this, check the oil level with a feeler gauge before starting. If there is a light indicator, it will prompt you to turn on the light during operation.

Generator shutdown: requires refueling. To prevent sudden parking from affecting the operation of electrical equipment, it is necessary to track the liquid level according to the indicator light. If this is not the case, please replenish fuel at the intervals recommended in the instruction manual.

Unit not started: If the diesel generator is new and used under normal temperature conditions, there is no fuel in the fuel tank. If there is oil in the oil tank and the generator has been shut down for over a month, it indicates that the gasoline has been used up. You should release it and refill it. Sometimes, you can seek help from experts.

When starting, there is a "hoof sound": indicating that there is oil in the combustion chamber (likely caused by the rotation of the generator). The technician should keep the surface flat and allow the glass oil to enter the crankcase.

Overload indicator light on: indicates the occurrence of current overload. If it is a short-term phenomenon (such as the starting current when high-power technology is connected), high-quality generators will handle it. If it is overloaded for a long time, it must be shut down and the cause of the malfunction must be eliminated. If not dealt with in a timely manner, it will cause insulation rupture of the starter and rotor, resulting in short circuit faults in the power plant. In this case, it will cost a lot of money to send it for repair.
