How To Check And Adjust The Fuel Supply Of The Fuel Injection Pump

Adjust the basic parameters of each cylinder of diesel generator fuel injection pump: rated speed fuel supply, start fuel supply, idling fuel supply. The uniform distribution of the fuel supply of each cylinder of the fuel injection pump has a considerable impact on the operating stability of the diesel generator. Therefore, when testing the fuel injection pump, the uniformity of the fuel supply of each cylinder should be determined. The conversion formula is as follows:

The degree of uneven fuel supply for each cylinder = (maximum-minimum fuel supply)/average fuel supply×100%

Average supply of oil=[(Maximum supply of oil 10)/2]×100%

The average fuel supply error of each cylinder does not exceed 5%. Before supplying oil, you need to adjust the installation position of the gear rod and gear ring, gear ring and control sleeve (or adjust the pull rod and shift fork) to ensure correctness.

1. Rated oil supply capacity for speed regulation.

(1) The speed of the fuel injection pump rises to the rated speed, so that the throttle control arm is at the maximum fuel supply position.

(2) Pre-set the number of oil supply 200 times on the tachometer, and align the oil measuring cylinder with the lower opening of the oil collecting cup.

(3) Press the tachometer count button to start oil supply and counting, and read the amount of oil after stopping the oil.

(4) The unevenness of the oil supply of each cylinder should be less than 3%, and it should be adjusted if it does not meet the requirements. The specific method is: loosen the gear ring (or shift fork) fastening screw, make the plunger control sleeve rotate an angle on the gear ring, and change the mutual position between the plunger and the plunger sleeve, so as to realize the adjustment of the fuel supply. When using the lever shift fork type, it can be adjusted by changing the distance between the shift fork and the lever.

2. Idling oil supply adjustment.

(1) After adjusting the rated speed and the unevenness of the fuel supply, the fuel injection pump runs at the idling speed.

(2) Pre-set the number of oil supply 200 times on the tachometer, and align the oil measuring cylinder with the lower opening of the oil collecting cup.

(3) Slowly turn the rotating arm to increase the fuel supply direction. When the standard lubricator starts to drip oil, fix the rotating arm, press the counting button, start the oil supply, count, stop the oil supply, and display the amount of oil on each cylinder.

The unevenness of the idling oil supply of each cylinder is generally less than 20%-30%. If there is any inconsistency, it can be adjusted according to the above method.

3. Start the oil supply adjustment operation.

(1) Adjust the speed of the test bench to 180r/min.

(2) The fuel injection pump operating arm is at the maximum fuel supply position.

(3) Measure the fuel supply of each cylinder according to the above method.

(4) The starting oil supply is generally more than 150% of the rated oil supply. If it is unqualified, adjust it according to the above method.

Note: Every time you pour the oil drum, it should be kept for more than 30 seconds. The adjustment of the fuel supply mode of the fuel injection pump should mainly ensure the uniformity of the rated speed of the fuel supply.
