Engine oil vapor, gum in fuel, and combustion products are all searching for places to attach and form carbon deposits, while impurities in the air can act as crystal nuclei for carbon deposits, allowing them to form faster.

4. Power reduction

Impurity particles flowing at high speed through the valve and valve seat ring can scratch the sealing surface, reduce the sealing performance of the valve, lead to a decrease in the compression performance of the diesel generator, and ultimately result in a decrease in generator power.

The function of an air filter is to filter out dust and impurities in the air, and send clean air or a combustible mixture of air and fuel into the combustion chamber to reduce wear between the piston and the cylinder liner, between the piston group, and between the valve group.
