The structure and function of the pressure regulating valve in the main oil passage of diesel generators. The main oil pressure regulating valve (also known as a pressure limiting valve) is a pressure relief device used to limit the oil pressure of the lubrication system to not exceed the specified technical requirements, in order to prevent damage to the sealing components. It mainly consists of balance springs and ball valves (or cone valves), etc. Its working principle is that the pressure regulating valve is balanced by a spring and a ball valve; (or cone reading) to limit the oil pressure, so that the oil pressure does not exceed the specified value in the technical document. When the oil pressure exceeds the specified value, it overcomes the spring force and pushes the valve open, causing pressure relief in the system; When the oil pressure is lower than the spring force, the valve closes again under the action of the spring.
Maintenance of high-pressure valves for diesel generating.
If the pressure regulating valve in the main oil passage fails, it will cause a change in the oil pressure. If the spring becomes soft, it will cause a decrease in the oil pressure in the main oil passage; If the sealing strip is worn or foreign objects get stuck, it will also cause a decrease in oil pressure. At this point, the oil pressure in the main oil passage can be increased by adjusting the pre tension of the spring appropriately. Taking the example of the Deutz FL513 series diesel engine, the adjustment method for the oil pressure in the main oil duct is as follows:
The main oil passage oil pressure regulating valve is installed on the main oil passage, specifically located on the upper left side of the flywheel end of the machine body, as shown in the figure. If the oil pressure of the diesel engine is low during operation, it can be adjusted through this pressure gauge.
1. When adjusting the engine oil pressure on the vehicle, the diesel engine must stop running and wait for the temperature to decrease before proceeding.
2. Loosen and remove the screw plug
3. Use a wrench to adjust the adjustment screw, and tighten it appropriately (when the oil pressure is too high) or in (when the oil pressure is too low); The oil pressure can also be adjusted by appropriately changing the thickness of the adjusting gasket.
4. Tighten the screw plug.
5. Start the diesel generator and check if the oil pressure is normal. If the oil pressure is still abnormal, repeat the above steps until satisfied.
Attention: If satisfactory oil pressure cannot be achieved after multiple adjustments, it is necessary to consider whether the pressure regulating valve is damaged, the clearance between the bearing shells, or the clearance between the oil pump gears is too large.
Special reminder: The adjustment of oil pressure must be completed by experienced maintenance technicians, and the diesel generator must be in a shutdown state during the adjustment.
