1. The fuel tank of the diesel generator set needs to be equipped with a side inlet, which is generally 5-10cm away from the bottom of the fuel tank and equipped with a valve. The inner diameter of the inlet should not be less than 1.5 times that of the diesel engine inlet.

2. The fuel tank of the diesel generator set needs to be equipped with a top return port, and the inner diameter of the return port should not be less than 1.5 times that of the diesel engine return port.

3. The fuel tank of the diesel generator set needs to be equipped with a liquid level observation tube, and the highest and lowest normal safe operating oil level lines should be set. If necessary, a maximum and minimum oil level alarm should be installed.

4. The fuel tank of the diesel generator set needs to be equipped with a top filling port.

5. The fuel tank of the diesel generator set needs to be equipped with a top breathable cap or vent hole, and if necessary, it needs to be extended to the outside.

6. The fuel tank of the diesel generator set needs to be equipped with bottom drain bolts.

7. The installation height of the fuel tank should be on the same horizontal plane as the diesel generator set, and the maximum fuel line height of the fuel tank should not exceed 30cm from the height of the diesel engine fuel injector of the diesel generator set. The minimum capacity line should not be lower than 80cm from the diesel engine inlet.

The fuel tank of a diesel generator set is generally made of steel plate stamping and welding, and its inner surface is usually treated with rust prevention. The parts of the fuel tank that are easily damaged during long-term use are the internal oil outlet pipe welding point and the external welding point. When there is virtual welding or sand holes in the internal welding parts, it will cause the diesel engine to run unstably or shut down during operation. Therefore, users should pay attention to timely inspection. In addition, if there are too many impurities at the bottom of the fuel tank, the above phenomenon may also occur. At this point, the oil outlet pipe should be removed from the outside of the fuel tank, and then the oil outlet pipe inside the fuel tank should be removed. After the oil outlet pipe is damaged, it can generally be welded by brazing method. After welding, the sealing of the oil outlet pipe should be checked. When there are too many impurities at the bottom of the mailbox, diesel or gasoline can be used for cleaning, and then unscrew the drain screw at the bottom of the fuel tank to drain the diesel containing impurities.
