1. The main reason for the black smoke from the exhaust pipe is that there is less air in the cylinder, more fuel, incomplete fuel combustion or untimely combustion, which causes fuel leakage. When using the gas-by-gas method to check the oil cylinder, first determine whether it is a single cylinder that is not working well or the whole cylinder is not working well.

(1) The diesel engine is overloaded. If the internal combustion engine is overloaded and the fuel supply increases, the fuel cannot be fully burned, and its exhaust will emit black smoke. Therefore, if you find black smoke in the exhaust pipe, the diesel engine speed cannot be increased, and the exhaust noise is particularly loud, indicating that the diesel engine is overloaded. Usually it will be improved as long as the load is reduced.

(2) The oil supply is ahead of schedule. When the pressure in the cylinder is low, the fuel supply time is added ahead of schedule, so that part of the diesel fuel is incompletely burned, forming carbon particles, which are ejected from the exhaust pipe, and appear gray-black. The oil supply time needs to be adjusted.

(3) The air filter is blocked, and the diesel engine will emit black smoke if the air intake is insufficient. If the diesel engine emits smoke at high speed and low speed, air filtration test should be carried out. If the smoke disappears immediately, the air filter is blocked and must be cleaned immediately.

(4) The quality of diesel is not up to standard, which affects atomization and combustion.

2. White smoke from the exhaust port indicates that the fuel entering the cylinder is not burned, but becomes fog and steam under the action of a certain temperature. If white smoke is emitted, it may be caused by cracks in the bottom of a single cylinder head or cylinder liner, or poor sealing of the cylinder head gasket.

3. Blue smoke from the exhaust pipe is mainly caused by the burning of the oil entering the combustion chamber. The inspection should be from easy to difficult. First, check whether there is oil in the oil cylinder, and then check the air filter oil tank and the filter element for excessive oil. Other reasons are difficult to detect.
