Adjustment Method of Perkins Diesel Generator Set

2. Adjustment of valve clearance

3. Adjustment of oil pressure

There are generally two lubrication methods for Perkins diesel generating set: pressure lubrication and splash lubrication. Low or high oil pressure will affect the lubrication quality of diesel generator set. Therefore, diesel generator set must control the oil pressure within the specified range when working.

4. Adjustment of regulator

In the process of using Perkins diesel generator set, the charging ammeter pointer is not moving, and the charging current is too large or too small. If the charging current of the battery is too large, the service life of the battery will be shortened; If it is too small, the battery cannot be charged on time. When the diesel generator set is working, if the charging current displayed by the charging ammeter is too large, the current limiting spring of the regulator should be adjusted to shorten the spring, and then the current will decrease, otherwise the current will increase. In the process of adjustment, pay attention not to exert too much force, and gently touch it until it meets the requirements.

5. Adjustment of fan belt

If the fan belt of Perkins diesel generator set is too tight, it will aggravate the wear of the direct-alternator bearing, water pump bearing and fan bearing. If the belt is too loose, it will cause insufficient fan air volume and affect the cooling effect of the cooling water. At the same time, the output voltage of the generator will drop, and the flow of the water pump will drop, which will not meet the use requirements. Therefore, the fan belt must be adjusted according to the use requirements.

6. Pressure reducing adjustment of Perkins diesel engine

During operation, Perkins diesel generator set is often difficult to start due to the weather or insufficient battery power. At this time, the operator can reduce the compression ratio, improve the starting resistance and start the Perkins diesel generator set by reducing the pressure of the diesel engine inlet valve.
