Composition of diesel generator set

A diesel generator set is a type of internal combustion generator set, consisting of components such as a diesel engine, AC synchronous generator, control box (screen), coupling, and common base.

Generally, complete sets of units are produced by using a common base to install the main components such as diesel engine, AC synchronous generator, and control box (screen) together, forming an integrated diesel generator set. Except for the diesel engine and generator installed on a common base welded with steel, the control panel, fuel tank, and water tank of high-power units need to be designed separately for easy movement and installation.

The flywheel housing of the diesel engine is directly connected to the front end cover of the generator axially through shoulder positioning, and a cylindrical elastic coupling is used to drive the generator to rotate directly from the flywheel. This connection method is fixed together by screws, making the two connected as one, ensuring that the concentricity of the crankshaft of the diesel engine and the rotor of the generator is within the specified range.

In order to reduce noise, the unit generally needs to be equipped with a dedicated muffler, and in special cases, the unit needs to be fully shielded. In order to reduce the vibration of the unit, vibration dampers or rubber damping pads are usually installed at the connection between the main components such as the diesel engine, generator, control box, and water tank and the common base. Some control boxes also adopt secondary vibration reduction measures.

1. The rated power output of the unit (KW), expressed in numbers.

2. The type of output current of the unit: G - AC power frequency; P-communication medium frequency; S-communication dual frequency; Z-DC.

3. Type of unit: F-land use; FC - Marine; Q automobile power station; T trailer.

4. Control characteristics of the unit: absence is manual (ordinary type); Z - Automation; S low noise; Sz - Low noise automation.

5. Design serial number, represented by numbers.

6. Variant code, represented by numbers.

7. Environmental characteristics: absence is common type; TH - humid tropical type.
