In order to reduce the frictional resistance between the moderately relative moving parts of the generator set and reduce the wear of the parts, the oil is continuously transported to the friction surface of each moving part to form a lubricating oil film for lubrication and cooling. The engine oil itself contains a certain amount of gum, impurities, moisture and additives. In addition, in the working procedure of the generator set, metal wear debris, the entry of air impurities, and oil oxides are generated, which makes the sundries in the oil gradually increase, causing the oil pump of the generator set to block. The viscosity of the generator set oil can also clog the oil circuit.

Loosen the bleed plug on the fuel injection nozzle, when the oil is pumped with the hand pump and the fuel pump is driven by the starter to work, the pressure and oil volume at the bleed plug of the fuel injector are too small. Fold down the fuel pump inlet pipe to blow air to the fuel tank, the fuel churning in the fuel tank is loud. Finally, the joint of the oil inlet pipe of the oil delivery pump was inspected, and it was found that the copper filter screen was seriously blocked.

Remove the hand oil pump, take out the copper filter screen and the seat, clean it with diesel oil, then burn the gum on the filter screen with fire, and install the retest machine after cleaning, and the diesel generator operation will return to normal.

Because the oil inlet of the generator set oil pump is equipped with a coarse filter screen. When the diesel oil passes through the coarse filter screen at the special oil port of the oil transfer pump, the sludge, colloid and other impurities in it will adhere to the filter screen, and the sludge, colloid and other impurities will accumulate too much at the filter screen. Carry out maintenance, otherwise the oil circuit will be blocked, causing the generator set to fail due to lack of oil or poor oil supply.

The oil should be changed 50 hours after the first operation of the new generator set or 50 hours after the middle and overhaul. The oil replacement cycle is generally carried out at the same time as the oil filter element, and the oil replacement cycle is usually 250 hours or a month. With Class 2 oil, the oil can be changed only after 400 hours of operation, but the oil filter (filter) must be replaced.
