The fuel injection pump is the most precise and important component in the 450kw Cummins generator, which reduces the failure of the VE distribution pump during use, ensures the reliability of the fuel injection pump operation, extends its service life, and reduces maintenance costs. Proper maintenance, operation, and repair are extremely important to reduce the malfunctions of the distribution pump during use.
(1) The fuel entering the fuel injection pump must be highly clean. This is the key to reducing the occurrence of faults in the distribution pump during use. The most fundamental measure to ensure the reliability and durability of machine operation is to do a good job in maintenance and upkeep. The diesel entering the fuel injection pump must be kept in a highly clean state, and the following maintenance measures should be taken seriously:
1. Use light diesel that meets national standards, and choose an appropriate diesel grade according to the ambient temperature. The freezing point should be 5-10 ℃ lower than the surrounding temperature. In summer, use 0 and+10 diesel.
2. Before injecting diesel into the diesel engine fuel tank, it must be pre precipitated and filtered. A dedicated diesel drum is a series of two diesel drums with the same height and placed in different positions. Each drum is welded with two layers of iron wire and covered with 23 layers of yellow gauze to enhance filtration; Place an oil drain switch 120mm away from the bottom of the second bucket. The precipitated diesel is then passed through double layers of silk or woolen fabric, with flannel (the fuzzy surface must not face the diesel engine fuel tank). The environment should be clean when refueling, and refueling in dusty environments is prohibited. The diesel refueling tool for diesel engines shall not be used for other oils and shall be kept clean regularly.
3. In the fuel system of diesel generators, a two-stage paper filter with high filtration efficiency should be used, and the filter should be replaced regularly according to maintenance regulations. In general, the first stage filter element is replaced after about 500 hours of operation, and the second stage filter element is replaced after about 100 hours of operation. Special attention should be paid that the service life of the diesel filter element depends on the cleanliness of the diesel entering the filter. When replacing the filter element, the filter housing and other parts should also be thoroughly cleaned, and no dirt should fall into the filter. Close attention should be paid to the condition of the filter, otherwise the performance of the filter may decrease or fail, leading to unclean diesel fuel, premature wear of precision components of the fuel injection pump, and even serious damage accidents such as seizure of the distribution pump rotor.
