If there is a spark, it indicates that the generator set is in good condition, and the reason for not charging may be due to the grounding of the excitation circuit of the generator set regulator; If there is no spark, it indicates that the generator set itself has a malfunction, which may be due to poor contact with the carbon brush or commutator, open circuit in the armature or field coil, or short circuit to ground.
