Pipe Selection and Installation of Diesel Generator

The selection of pipelines should be based on local relevant regulations. Exposed pipelines should be supported and fixed, and pipelines must be grounded. The pipeline system shall be laid before the cable is introduced into the diesel generator. There shall be at least 40% space in the pipeline, and the radius of the bend shall not be less than 2.5 times of the outer diameter of the pipeline. The pipeline system shall be able to prevent dust and water from entering the Diesel generator. The vent hole shall be designed at the highest and lowest point of the diesel generator pipeline. The open pipeline shall be made of good fireproof materials.

During installation, enough bending radius of the diesel generator shall be ensured. Like the steel pipe, the use of steel trough as the protective material for conductor shall comply with the relevant wiring rules, but shall not be used as the combustion protection of the Diesel generator. There should be at least 45% space in the groove, and the groove should have correct support and fixing points. The groove cover should not be located on the lower side of the groove. When passing through walls, floors and ceilings, the tank cover shall be tight, and suitable heat-resistant materials shall be provided in the vertical tank to prevent the temperature of the top area of the Diesel generator from being too high.

Isolation measures shall be taken to prevent electrical and physical contact between different isolation lines of diesel generator, low-voltage lines powered by main power supply, ultra-low voltage or communication lines powered by safety power supply. For fire or emergency lighting, the most commonly used method is to lay cables on perforated cable trays. The cables are horizontally arranged with a maximum tightening spacing of 450 mm, and the support spacing of the cable reel is generally 1200 mm. The cable reel should have sufficient strength and should be selected to ensure that it has an additional cable bearing capacity close to 25% of the carrying capacity of the cable.

During the construction of cable trench, the cable shall be maximized to obtain the minimum bending radius for diesel generator. The cable trench shall be as straight as possible, with smooth surface and a certain slope, so as to drain the water and oil of Diesel generator into the sewage collection tank. They should be implanted 75 mm thick, 160 mm to 400 mm distance between high and low voltage cables laid in cable trenches. When diesel generator cables cross roads, passages or building structures underground, diesel generator conduits or protective devices shall be used to prevent mechanical damage to diesel generator and reserve space for cable laying of diesel generator in the future.
