Precautions Before Installation of Diesel Generator Set Fuel Pump

Diesel generator set is a kind of small power generation equipment, which refers to the power machinery that uses diesel as fuel and uses diesel engine as prime mover to drive the generator to generate electricity. The whole set is generally composed of diesel engine, generator, control box, fuel tank, battery for starting and control, protection device, emergency cabinet and other components. So what problems should be paid attention to before installing the diesel generator set fuel pump?

1. The injected diesel oil should be filtered by precipitation to ensure cleanliness and prevent the wear of the oil inlet valve, oil outlet valve and valve seat of the oil pump from being aggravated by excessive impurities. Sometimes the oil valve of the diesel generator set will even be cushioned by impurities and fail.

2. When the diesel generator set is shut down for a long time, prevent the matching surfaces of the oil transfer pump, especially the piston and the pump body, the tappet and the tappet sleeve from rusting due to the water in the oil, and anti-rust measures must be taken (when the machine is shut down, replace the fuel injection pump. Lubricating oil with moisture, diesel oil and other impurities in the oil pan).

3. When it is found that there is too much diesel in the oil pan of the fuel injection pump, it is necessary to timely check whether the gap between the piston and the pump body of the fuel delivery pump, the tappet and the tappet sleeve is too large, and if the gap is too large, it should be dealt with in time to prevent the serious leakage of diesel oil, which may cause the fuel injection pump and the adjustment. Poor lubrication of the internal parts of the gearbox.

4. There are oil drain holes on the pump body of some oil transfer pumps. The function of this hole is to make a small amount of diesel oil leaked from the oil transfer pump directly flow out of the pump body. Do not block the hole to prevent diesel oil from entering the oil pan of the fuel injection pump to dilute the lubricating oil.

5. Ensure that the sealing gaskets are intact everywhere, the plastic ring should not be disassembled too many times, and should be replaced on schedule.

6. Ensure that the elasticity of the "four springs" of the plunger oil pump is normal. "Four springs" are piston springs, tappet (roller) springs, oil inlet valve springs, and oil outlet valve springs. If the elasticity of the springs is weakened or broken, they should be replaced or adjusted in time.

7. The hand oil pump must be pressed back after use, and the button must be tightened to prevent the hand oil pump and rubber ring or ball valve and valve seat from causing air intake or oil leakage due to insufficient pressure.

8. If there is a rubber sealing device between the hand oil pump piston and the hand oil pump body on the oil transfer pump, do not disassemble it at will, and the rubber ring should be replaced in time if it is damaged.

9. The coarse filter core in the oil pump joint is easily blocked by dirt such as cotton wool. It should be checked and cleaned frequently. The damaged filter must be repaired or replaced in time.

10. Before installing the oil pump of the diesel generator set, check whether the model and specification are accurate, and remove the anti-rust oil. The thickness of the gasket should be appropriate to prevent the piston from being too thin or too thick to cause the piston to die or run out of place. Tighten the bolts. The tightening torque should be averaged to prevent damage to the oil pump.
