The parts far away from the core of the diesel generator can not be taken out for local repair. For local faults in other parts, the faulty bars should be taken out of the trunking and placed flat on the repair bench. The repair bench should be padded with soft pads such as rubber pads or polyester felt to prevent other parts of the bars from being damaged during the local repair of the bars. Before repair, take data and photos of the fault location.
First, the fault point shall be carefully cleared, and then the bar insulation shall be cut into grooves along both sides of the clearing point. The length of groove on each side is generally determined by an empirical formula: Ue is the rated voltage of stator winding (V). For 13.8kV insulation, the length of each side of the groove should be about 80mm. The slope surface shall be carefully trimmed to be smooth and uniform. Wipe clean with anhydrous alcohol or toluene and brush a layer of room temperature curing epoxy resin paint. Then use the same insulating material as the bar insulation to conduct semi-overlapping winding, and brush the room temperature curing epoxy resin paint between the layers. The viscosity of the paint should be appropriate. The coating should be uniform and the number of layers should be determined according to the insulation thickness, generally according to the number of layers required by the bar design, which are specified by the manufacturer. The key point of local repair is to ensure that the repaired parts are free of bubbles and inclusions. Therefore, the semi-overlapping wrapping process should be strictly followed, and the "semi-overlapping" should be accurate. The insulating tape of diesel generator shall not be wrinkled during binding, and the insulating tape can be properly tightened with even force. Generally, vacuum treatment cannot be carried out for on-site treatment, so flexible treatment shall be carried out for locally repaired bars.
In order to make the old and new insulation contact closely, the repaired part shall be heated and pressurized. The die can be made of thick iron plate according to the specific position, and can be baked by electric heating, or in a large oven. For Class B insulation, the treatment temperature should be 90~110 ℃ (different process structures, time and temperature vary greatly), and the heating temperature and time should refer to the insulation molding time of the manufacturer's bar. Level B insulation of 8kV diesel generator bar shall take about 5h at least. The bar can also be heated by low voltage and high current. After local repair, restore the anti-corona layer as required. For the bar formed at the same time with the anti-corona layer and the main insulation, the anti-corona layer shall be wrapped immediately after the main insulation is wrapped, and the hot pressing treatment shall be carried out together. The diesel generator bar after partial repair shall pass the withstand voltage test.
