Severe reactive power shortage causes a decrease in system voltage. In certain parts, such as between the slot wedge and the tooth wall, or at the overlap between the retaining ring and the body, losses may cause local overheating of the rotor; The pulsating torque generated by the electromagnetic asymmetry of the rotor will cause vibration of the Cummins diesel generator set and foundation.
