1. The oil supply rack is not flexible enough
The fuel supply rack of the fuel injection pump must remain absolutely flexible to ensure the sensitivity of the speed control response. Use a sensitive spring balance to test the pulling resistance of the gear rod. The pulling resistance of the fuel injection pump of the corresponding II, IV, VI, VIII cylinders should not be greater than 60, 90, 130, and 150g, respectively. Due to rust, deformation of the plunger coupler after tightening, crushing of the engagement between the gear ring and the gear rod after the plunger spring is broken, serious wear of the shaft sleeve at the end of the gear rod, and the tightening angle of the fork of the fork-type oil volume adjustment mechanism If it is not correct, the thrust swashplate and fly ball seat of the domestic fuel injection pump governor are poorly installed or poorly matched, which will affect the flexibility of the fuel supply rack. When this resistance that affects flexibility has not reached the point where the fuel supply rack cannot move at all, the Volvo generator set will experience a "travelling" phenomenon.
2. The inner lever of the governor is loose due to the wear of the connecting pin hole
In this case, the two-way speed control movement that increases or decreases the fuel supply produces excessive directional lag. When the Volvo generator set is working, the speed regulation response is bound to lag behind the actual speed change, but the lag cannot be too large, otherwise a large adjustment amplitude will occur. The adjustment amplitude is too large, that is, when the speed has been increased or decreased due to the increase or decrease of the fuel supply, the fuel will continue to increase or decrease, and the strong feedback signal will not pass through the governor until the speed exceeds the adjustment range of the governor. The reaction of reverse regulation is realized, and the result is that the speed regulation response exceeds the predetermined range, resulting in the phenomenon of "travelling" in which the speed is repeatedly and regularly raised and lowered near a certain value.
3. Improper adjustment of the speed-stabilizing spring
This is similar to the improper adjustment of the speed-stabilizing spring when the idling speed of the Volvo generator set is unstable. The reason why this situation is "travelling" is that the speed-stabilizing spring and the fuel supply rack cannot work together flexibly.
Correct use of Volvo gensets can effectively prolong the service life of the gensets, reduce operating costs, and reduce the economic losses of users.
