Please remember that you need 2 horsepower to generate 1 kilowatt of electricity (a 50 horsepower engine is needed to generate 25 kilowatts of electricity). Next, select the engine speed (RPM). The common speed of the power output shaft is 540 or 1000 revolutions per second. Newer tractors typically travel at two speeds, while older tractors may only be able to travel at one speed. Finally, select the electrical phase. The PTO generator generates two types of electricity, single-phase or three-phase. The RV generator is installed in a compartment outside the vehicle and can use existing gas or propane tanks.
