Before starting, check whether the fuel tank is sufficient, and there is no oil leakage at each fuel pipe and joint; whether the cooling system has sufficient water, clean, and without leakage, and whether the fan belt is tightly tight. Check that the internal combustion engine and the transmission part of the Cummins diesel generator set should be connected reliably, the wire of the output line should be well insulated, and the instruments should be complete and effective.

After starting, it should be operated at low speed for 3 to 5 minutes. After the temperature and the oil pressure wheel are normal, the operation can be started. The Cummins diesel generator set should have no abnormal noise during the speed increase, the slip ring and the brushes on the commutator should be in good contact, and there should be no bounce or sparks. After the operation is stable and the frequency and voltage reach the rated value, power can be supplied externally.

In case of abnormal noise, odor, sharp rise in water temperature, and sharp drop in oil pressure during operation, the machine should be shut down immediately for inspection and troubleshooting. The power factor of Cummins diesel generator set shall not exceed 0.95 in the late phase (lagging). The variation range of the frequency value shall not exceed 0.5HZ.

Before shutting down, cut off the main switch of each power supply branch to gradually reduce the load, then cut off the main switch of Cummins diesel generator power supply, return the excitation varistor to the maximum resistance position, and reduce the voltage to the lowest value, then cut off the excitation switch and the middle The grounding switch of the sex point, and finally stop the operation of the internal combustion engine.
