1. After the diesel generator set operates in winter, if it is parked in the open, the weather change shall be noticed at any time. When the local temperature is lower than 5 ℃, the cooling water in the diesel engine cooling water tank shall be discharged. Because the volume change of water is relatively large when the temperature is below 5 degrees Celsius, when water changes from liquid to solid, the volume expansion will damage the cooling water tank radiator.

2. Due to the poor working environment of the generator set in winter, it is necessary to frequently replace the air filter element. Due to the high requirements for air and diesel filter elements in cold weather, if not replaced in a timely manner, it will increase engine wear and affect the lifespan of the diesel engine.

3. When selecting engine oil for winter diesel engines, it is advisable to choose oil with a slightly thinner viscosity.

4. When a diesel engine is started in winter, the temperature of the intake air in the cylinder is relatively low, making it difficult for the piston to reach the natural temperature of the diesel after compressing the gas. So before starting the diesel engine, corresponding auxiliary methods should be used to increase the temperature of the diesel engine body.

5. After starting the diesel engine, it should first run at low speed for 3-5 minutes to increase the overall temperature of the diesel engine, check the working condition of the lubricating oil, and only after checking it to be normal can it be put into normal operation. During the operation of a diesel engine, try to minimize sudden acceleration or maximum throttle operation, otherwise prolonged operation may affect the service life of the valve components.
