Fuel-Saving Regulator Method in Silent Diesel Generator Set

In the mute diesel generator set regulator method, the battery and ammeter are connected in series and connected to the regulator battery terminal. Start the engine and gradually increase the speed, and observe the pointer of the ammeter on the tractor when the interceptor contacts are closed. If the ammeter pointer swings in the "+" direction, it means the closing voltage is high and the spring tension should be weakened; if the ammeter pointer swings in the "-" direction, it means the closing voltage is low and the spring tension should be increased. Repeated adjustments in this way until the pointer of the ammeter hardly swings when the interceptor contacts are closed, indicating that the closing voltage is appropriate.

The two batteries are connected in series with the battery and the ammeter, and connected to the battery terminal of the regulator. Start the engine and gradually increase the speed. When the voltage regulator is working, observe the pointer of the ammeter. If the pointer of the ammeter swings in the “+” direction, it means that the voltage regulation value is high, and the spring tension should be reduced; if the pointer of the ammeter swings in the “-” direction, it means the voltage regulation value is low, and the spring tension should be increased. Repeatedly adjust in this way until the pointer of the ammeter hardly swings when the voltage regulator works, indicating that the voltage regulation value is appropriate.

The principle of this adjustment method is: the dry cell and the accumulator are connected in series and have a certain potential, while the silent diesel generator set emits a certain voltage, and when the two are not equal, it will produce current. The electric potential of the former is higher than that of the latter, and the pointer of the ammeter points to the "-" direction, and vice versa, to the "+" direction. Only when the two potentials are almost equal, the ammeter pointer does not swing.
