Generator Set Compression Braking Device

Many components in the generator set are very important, one of which is the compression brake device. Do you know what this is? Today, Dingbo Power Generation Equipment will introduce the compression braking device of the generator set to help you better understand the generator set.

The installation procedure of the compression braking device of the generator set is as follows:

1. If the generator set has been installed on the rocker chamber, it should be removed.

2. Remove the adjusting screw and nut from the T-shaped pressure plate of the exhaust valve, and then remove the exhaust T-shaped pressure plate.

3. Reinstall the adjusting screw and nut on the compression brake type T-shaped pressure plate.

4. Install the compression brake type T-shaped pressure plate on the guide rod of the exhaust valve T-shaped pressure plate (note: the end force of the adjusting screw of the T-shaped pressure plate must be directed towards the water outlet manifold).

5. Adjust the T-shaped pressure plate:

(1) Loosen the locking nut of the T-shaped pressure plate adjusting screw, and loosen the adjusting screw one full turn.

(2) Press down the T-shaped pressure plate so that it touches a valve stem that is closer to the push rod. While pressing lightly on the T-shaped pressure plate, tighten the adjusting screw to make contact with the other valve stem.

(3) Hold the T-shaped pressure plate adjusting screw and tighten the lock nut to 34~41N m (Note: When using ST-669 torque wrench joint, the lock nut should be tightened to 30~35N.

(4) Check the clearance between the T-shaped pressure plate and the valve spring seat, at least 0.64mm.
