(1) According to the different installation sites, it is mainly divided into indoor power distribution devices and outdoor power distribution devices. (2) According to the different installation methods, it is mainly divided into prefabricated power distribution devices and complete power distribution devices. The prefabricated power distribution device refers to the power distribution device formed by assembling the electrical equipment on site one by one after the civil construction of the power distribution device is completed. It has the advantages of flexible construction and installation, less investment and less metal consumption, but the installation workload is large and the construction period is long. A complete set of power distribution device refers to a power distribution device formed by manufacturing electrical equipment into an independent switch cabinet (panel) according to the requirements of the main electrical wiring in the manufacturer, and only connecting and fixing it after transporting it to the site. The complete set of power distribution device has the advantages of compact structure, high reliability, small footprint and short construction period, but the metal consumption is large and the cost is high.

(3) According to the different voltage levels, it is mainly divided into basic types such as low-voltage power distribution devices (380/220V), high-voltage power distribution devices (6--220kV) and ultra-high-voltage power distribution devices (330kV and above).
