Several Forms of Diesel Engine Damage to Diesel Generator Sets

Today we will briefly introduce several forms of damage to the diesel engine of the diesel generator set.

Frost crack: This is the most likely damage to diesel generator sets in winter. Cracks in the body can only be repaired by cold welding in the parts that are not under stress. First, make crack-stop holes at both ends of the crack, then plant a number of iron nails along the crack, and then patch several pieces perpendicular to the direction of the crack, and use a low-carbon steel electrode to weld along the crack and the patch. Pay attention to tap the weld with a small hammer while welding, and then use flame to correct after all welding.

The 205 bearing holes of the upper and lower balance shaft ends are worn. This condition must be repaired immediately. When the bearing hole is lightly worn, it can be repaired by increasing the outer circle of the 205 bearing. Use oxygen welding on the outer ring of the bearing to make the symmetrical point of the steel wire at a small point, correct it with a file, and then press it into the bearing hole to use. Another method is to use a 2 mm thick iron plate to make a large flat pad with an inner hole of 50 mm, make three wire holes on the flat pad and the body, and fix them with flat head screws. When the bearing hole is seriously worn, the large original hole can be bored to insert the sleeve, and three small wire holes can be made at the joint of the inserted sleeve and the body, and fixed with screws.

The cylinder head bolt hole is slippery or damaged. This situation is caused by excessive force or pounding the cylinder when tightening the cylinder head nut. If it is an individual wire hole sliding wire, the wire can be changed again, and a cylinder head bolt matched with the wire hole can be processed. It cannot be repaired if the wire hole is broken or if multiple wire holes are slipped.
